Ⅳ. Text Analysis of Passage 1. Main Idea: Time-conscious Americans (“Time is one of the two elements that Americans save carefully, the other being labor” Para. 1) 2. Text Structure: The passage can be divided into 3 parts. Part I (para1) Americans save time carefully.
