摘要：A coated plant seed comprising a seed which is coated with polymercomposition comprising a water-soluble or water swellable polymer, which polymercomposition is in the form of a reverse phase emulsion or a reverse phase dispersion. Amethod of coating plant seeds is also provided by contacting a seed by the polymercomposition. Preferably a coating also contains plant nutrients. Significant improvementsare obtained in retaining moisture and nutrient retention in the zone of the seed andseedling after germination.
