摘要：1336138 Preparation of 2-alkoxy-4-hydroxy pyrimidines IMPERIAL CHEMICALINDUSTRIES Ltd 2 Dec 1970 [10 Dec 1969] 60324/69 Heading C2C 2 - Alkoxy - 4 - hydroxy- pyrimidines, or salts thereof, of the formula are obtained by reacting an O-alkyl isoureaof formula H 2 N-C(OR) : NH in the presence of a base with a crotonic ester of theformula R 6 -C(X) : C(R 5 )-COOR1 wherein R, R1, R 5 and R 6 are C 1-8 alkyl groups and Xis an amino radical derived from an amine of formula R11R111NH, wherein R11 and R111are alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group, or an amino radical derived from a cyclic secondary amine.The reaction may be carried out in solution in an alkanol, preferred bases being alkalimetal carbonates and alkoxides. The crotonic ester starting materials may be preparedby reacting a secondary amine of the formula R11R111NH with an appropriate beta-ketoester.
