如何区分cause 和 reason

都有“原因”的意思。
cause 指事物的直接原因，导火索。
reason指对事物的起因给以合乎情理的解释（指理由、借口）
what was the cause of the two World Wars ?
两次世界大战的起因是什么？
I have my reason to fear him.
我怕他是有理由的。
另外，cause 多与of 连用；
reason多与for 连用
cause of the fire .火灾的原因
reason for the accident .事故的原因
