摘要：A network device includes a first interface that receives multicast packets and acontrol module that determines that N of the multicast packets have a commonmulticast address. The network device also includes a packet aggregation module thatuses the N of the multicast packets to form aggregate data. The network device alsoincludes a packet format module that adds a header to the aggregate data to form aunicast packet. The network device also includes a second interface that transmits theunicast packet. N is an integer greater than or equal to 1.
