教学目标：

1、掌握短文中出现的短语和句型：a waste of time,there is no need for...to...,spend time on...,in order to...

2、掌握skimming的阅读技巧。

3、学会表达自己的观点。

4、了解做家务的重要性，并乐于帮父母做一些力所能及的家务。

教学过程：

1. Warming up

2a. Show two pictures and discuss the questions with Ss:

1) Do you like the house like this? What you should do?

2) Do you help your parents do chores at home?What do you usually do?

2. 2b Skimming

了解阅读策略：Skimming 意为“快速掠过，从中提取最容易取得的精华”。这种读法包含有原词的所有意思——快速读过去，取出读物中关键性的东西。因此，我们可以把这种读法理解为快速浏览课文，领会文章大意。一般而言，通过标题可知道文章的主题。对文章的首段和末段要多加注意，以便发现作者的观点。

6.Writing:

目前有些父母认为孩子正处在学习文化知识阶段，不能耽误孩子学习时间，所以宁愿自己干家务也不让孩子干。你认为这种做法对吗？写一篇短文，谈谈孩子是否应该做家务。

教后反思：本节课是一节阅读课，要求学生能通过快速浏览抓住文章的主要信息，并在精读的过程中能梳理各句的逻辑关系，从而把握文章的层次，从整体上理解。教学过程中，我以问题为主线，让学生主动探索。课前以问题导入，引起学生的思考和讨论；课中通过问题的设置，帮学生理清文章的层次；课后学生通过回答问题，形成正确的劳动观。技能培养方面，注重学生的口语表达能力和写作能力。通过框架和重点动词的提示，帮学生完成文章的复述，为后面的写作打下基础。教学过程中发现，完成课堂活动时，速度过快，对少数学生照顾不到。另外学生的动笔能力比较弱，在回答问题和写作时出现的语法问题却无法及时纠正，需在以后不断探索，提高能力。
