As a result, tourism industry has been developed at a phenomenal rate. The number of people liking travel has increased. It brings some benefits. However, as every coin has two sides, it also raise several problems.

For host country or area, tourism will bring many opportunities. People traveling there buy local produced food, have meals at local restaurants and lodge in local hotels. These things cost tourists much money. On the contrary, local people will get money from tourists. Then it will increase incomes of local people and have a high multiplier impact on local government. In addition, tourists from foreign countries will generate a supply of needed foreign exchange. What's more, tourism can be built on existing infrastructure. Gradually, the quality of local people's life will be improved. The life is related to a higher level of income and improved standards of living.Further, in culture, tourism may break down language barriers, socio-cultural barriers, class barriers and so on. People become closer by communication. It promotes a global community through creating a favorable worldwide image for a destination. Furthermore, tourism will promote international understanding and peace.

For tourists, travel brings them new experience. They can enjoy exotic and escape from what they are familiar with or what press them. During travel, some may find their true love, some may learn the truth of life, or someone even may

grow up overnight.

We should have a clear understanding of both positive and negative impacts of tourism on the quality of life of host country or area（可省略）. The biggest problem must lie on the environment. In order to attract more tourists, local government or residents may develop excess demand for resource. Then the natural physical environment will be degraded. More tourism may bring more pollution. \"Qiuzhaigou Valley\" is a good example. Furthermore, social and economic problems will rise. Tourism will increase the incidence of crime, prostitution, and gambling. We may have the same experience that our taking things were stolen. In economy, tourism creates the difficulties of seasonality and causes inflation. Consequently, those can result in unbalanced economic development. What's more, there are some problems which could be found easily and dangerous. Tourism from other countries may have different religions and play the role of minister. There is no doubt that tourism creates misunderstandings and conflicts in the host countries.

Sum up, tourism should be a long-term ecotourism. Then damage brought by tourism will be less.
