摘要：According to embodiments, smart devices and methods of controlling the same

are disclosed. The smart device can include a touch panel; a display panel disposed on orunder the touch panel; a touch integrated circuit (IC) configured to sense electricalsignals from the touch panel; and an application processor configured to operate anapplication program according to the electrical signals. When a gesture is input onto thetouch panel while the display panel is maintained in an OFF state, the smart deviceexecutes an event corresponding to an input gesture, wherein while the even is executed,the OFF state of the display panel is maintained.
