摘要：A subscriber of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) receiving an EAS alertmessage can obtain additional multimedia information in based upon the location of thesubscriber. The additional multimedia information can include information pertaining toavailable shelter, medical facilities, the location of emergency supplies, a plume map,

evacuation routes, or the like. In an example embodiment, the Global Positioning Systemor other device location systems is utilized to determine the location of the subscriber.The location information along with EAS alert information is used to query a database toobtain the additional information.
