Last summer many famous people, including Bill Gates, dumped(猛地倒下) a bucket of ice water over their heads. This activity makes people know about the illness ALS. The ALS makes people‘s muscle(肌肉) become hard. The patients who suffer from it have difficulty in moving. The ice bucket challenge isn‘t exactly new. It began in 2013 and started to get crazy in the summer of 2014. It aims to draw people‘s attention through the crazy act of dumping ice water over heads.

The people who take part in the activity are encouraged to film their acts and share the videos(视频) in social public networks. Then, they can call out three (or more) others to take the challenge warning. ―You have 24hours to accept, or donate $100.‖

Bolt, a well-known Jamaica‘s player, set new records for the 100 meters at the World Championship in Berlin. His achievements have raised the question: how fast can a man run?

In 1968, the American Hines became the first man to break the 10 seconds in the 100-meter sprint(短跑). The record has been broken again and again since Bolt burst upon the races: from 9.72 in May 2008 to 9.68 three months later; to 9.58 in August 2009. Bolt himself thinks he can run the race at 9.4 seconds.
