摘要：A wireless communication method and system for detecting and correctingtransmission errors. The system includes at least one wireless transmit/receive unit

(WTRU) in communication with a Node B. The Node B sends a transmission signal (e.g.,containing a protocol data unit (PDU)) to the WTRU. The WTRU generates a revertmessage having a first field and a second field to indicate whether the transmission signalwas successfully received at the WTRU. The WTRU inserts a negative acknowledgement(NACK) message or positive acknowledgement (ACK) message into the first field andinserts a respective channel quality identifier (CQI) value corresponding to a worst orbest possible value of CQI into the second field. The WTRU transmits the revert messageto the Node B which compares the contents of the first and second fields. The Node Bresends the transmission signal to the WTRU if the contents of the first and second fieldsare not logically consistent.
