Lesson 50 Tips for Good munication

◆ 教材分析 1。 Analysis of the Students

The students of Grade 9 have mastered certain vocabularies,expressions and structures、 They also have the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups、 Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English、 2、 Analysis of Teaching Content

Lesson 50 is the second lesson in Unit 9, Book 5、This unit focus on the subject munication, Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone、 Lesson 50 mainly talks about some tips for good interpersonal munication。

◆ 教学目标 【知识目标】 1、To master the words : interpersonal, passport, proper, listener, contact, promise, cancel、

2。 To master the phrases: make an effort to do sth, make sb feel fortable, eye contact, waste time doing, keep one’s promise, do one’s best to do sth, on time, ahead of、 【能力目标】

Improve the students’ ability of speaking, listening, reading and writing。 To learn about how to municate well with others。

【情感目标】

To realize the importance of good munication and the best ways to municate well。 【教学重点】

To master the words and phrases、 【教学难点】

Try to learn about tips for good munication by reading and listening。

◆ 课前准备 Tape recorder, Multimedia ◆ 教学过程 Step 1。 Warm-up

Free talk: (1) Do you have many friend?

(2) Do you have fun together?

(3) Do you feel fortable when talking to others? (4) Have you ever found it hard to make new friends? (5) Do you fortable when talking to your friends? (6) Do you think it hard to make new friends?

Step 2、 Presentation

1. Explain the words according to the pictures、

2. Some people are talking about ways to municate well、 Listen to the interview and match the names with their suggestions、

3. Check the answers、

4. Explain the language points:

when talking to others在句中作状语,这时-ing形式的逻辑主语通常是主句的主语。这种状语能够转化为状语从句、

e、g、 When sleeping, I never hear a thing。 (= When I am sleeping, I never hear a thing、) 当我睡觉时,我什么都听不见。

He met an old friend while walking in the street、 (= He met an old friend while he was walking in the street。)

他在街上散步时遇到了一位老朋友。

有时—ing形式的逻辑主语不是主句的主语,而要依照上下文判断。

e、g。 Whether studying or sleeping, the problem is always in his mind、

不管学习依然睡觉,那个问题总是萦绕在他的心中。(walking和sleeping的逻辑主语不是problem, 而是he。)

Have you ever found it hard to make new friends? 您觉得交新朋友难不?

句中it作形式宾语,to make new friends 是实际宾语。实际宾语还能够是宾语从句。

e、g、 I think it easy to learn English well、 我认为学好英语特别容易。

He made it clear that he would leave soon、 他明确表示要特别快离开。

make an / the effort to do / doing sth、 “努力做某事”。 e、g、 We will make an / the effort to get in (或getting in) touch with you、 我们会努力跟您取得联系的、

用来引导时间状语从句的词和词组有the first time, the moment, the minute, the instant, the day, the year, every time, next time, immediately, directly, instantly等、

e、g、 I’ll tell you about it the moment you e。 您一到我就告诉您。

The instant she saw him, she knew he was her brother、 她一看到他就明白他是她的弟弟、

I’m going to see him next time he es to Beijing、 下次他来北京时,我要见见他。

He left America the year World War Ⅱ broke out。 他在第二次世界大战爆发那年离开美洲、

I got in touch with him immediately I received his letter、 我一接到他的来信就与他取得了联系。

My brother came directly he got my message。 我弟弟一听到我的口信就来了、

Instantly the button is pressed, the machine begins to work、 一按开关机器就开始运转。 waste 的用法:

(1)作动词,意为“浪费”。

①waste sth、表示“浪费某物”。 e、g、 Don’t waste food、 别浪费食物。

②waste sth、 on sb、 / sth、表示“在某人/某事上浪费某物”。 e。g、 Why do you waste money on clothes you don’t need?您为什么把钱浪费在您不需要的衣服上?

③waste sth、 (in) doing sth、表示“做某事浪费某物”。

e。g。 You are wasting your time (in) trying to explain it to him、您试图给他解释是浪费时间、

ahead of time / schedule“提早”。 e。g。 Please get ready ahead of time。 请提早做好准备。

ahead of 还有“在……前面;在……前头;领先,占优势”的意思。 e。g、 She was fortably ahead of her class in English。 她的英语稳拿全班第一。 Step 3、 Practice
