摘要：The drain assembly is constructed with a segmented ball valve of stainless steelor plastic which is rotatable between an open position and a closed position by a shaftextending from the drain body. An annular valve seat is biased against the valve body by acompression device and an annual retainer which is threaded into the valve body fromabove. A strainer may also be provided to catch large particles which might otherwise notbe desirable for passage through the drain assembly. The valve body provides arelatively large opening for the discharge of fluids into a drain pipe.
