摘要：(2) self packaging safety syringe comprising a series of unitary moldedprotection units (8, 104) sized to contain a conventional cartridge needle unit (12). theseries protection units are connected to each other by bridges broken (64, 66, 130,138).the unit includes a hollow cylinder needle cartridge (14) with a needle (24) mountedat one end and a piston (16) mounted on the inside. each unit includes a protection unit(38), a stem (44) (108) connected to one end of a frangible body and a plug terminal (52,110) connected to the other end of the body.the frangible connection (48) (118) isbroken so as to remove the stem and the needle (26) to be exposed for use. the rod isused to push the piston out of the cylinder. after use, the cylinder is pushed into thebody, so that the needle is entirely inside the body.
