摘要：A method and apparatus are disclosed for printing annotated digital

photographs via a computer. Photographic data and annotation data are entered into thecomputer and associated with each other. The data are then transmitted to an image

printing system, either across a network or via a direct connection, and the image printingsystem prints a double-sided print, with the photographic data on the front, and theannotation data on the rear. In preferred embodiments, metadata is associated with theimage and annotation data, and the image and/or annotation data is stored on thecomputer. In another aspect of the invention, the annotation data is displayed on thecomputer together with the image, in lieu of producing a double-sided print. The

annotation data can be prepared using the full range of editing and formating features ofthe graphical and text software available for the computer.
