摘要：A luminescent solar radiation concentrator is disclosed. Incident radiation of flux&phgr;.sub.1, and wavelength &lgr;.sub.1, impinges enclosure wall V.sub.1 having adouble index of refraction n.sub. 1, n.sub. 2 (where n.sub.2 > n.sub.1) and then is absorbedby cascade fluorescent concentrator/converter CL, which isotropically re-emits

fluorescent radiation at wavelength &lgr;.sub.2 and flux &phgr;.sub.2 (where &lgr;.sub.2 >&lgr;.sub.1, and &phgr;.sub.2 > &phgr;.sub. 1) which then is absorbed by a solarphotovoltaic cell. The double index of refraction wall prevents escape of fluorescenceradiation from the enclosure.
